Sophie Poole , RMT
Sophie Poole brings her calm, grounded presence to each massage therapy session.
She has had the opportunity to work with a variety of patients dealing with both chronic and acute conditions such as tension headaches, low back pain, and injury rehabilitation. She believes in patient centred care, and adjusts each treatment to meet clients’ individual goals and needs.
BC has always been home for Sophie as she originated in Squamish, later moved on to Vancouver, and has been exploring the beauty of Vancouver Island since 2006.
Almost four months of Sophie’s 2014 was spent backpacking in Peru and Ecuador! She looks forward to more travel in her future.
Sophie has participated in many sports over the years but primarily pitched competitively for a number of softball teams. Personal experience with repetitive strain injury has provided a greater understanding of neck and shoulder rehabilitation specifically, however, she is eager to treat all pathologies!
After recovering from multiple concussions sustained by playing rugby, skiing, and a few motor vehicle accidents, Sophie can also empathize with individuals who have experienced head or brain injuries. She has a vested interest in aiding others with the potentially lengthy and challenging healing process associated. Sophie is proud of her ability to promote comfort and deep relaxation while targeting problem areas with firm, specific pressure and clinical reasoning.
When she is not in the clinic, Sophie enjoys training and playing with her miniature schnauzer puppy, Gator!BOOK NOW
