We direct bill to ICBC for motor vehicle accidents (MVA). If you have been in an MVA on or after April 1, 2019, you are covered for 12 RMT treatments, 12 Acupuncture treatments, 25 Physiotherapy treatments, and 25 Chiropractic treatments, and 12 Kinesiology visits within 12 weeks of the date of your accident. ICBC is working with you to provide lots of options for recovery from motor vehicle accidents. If you fall outside of these parameters, please be sure to give us a call to discuss your personal situation. We will do our best to get you the answers and the treatment that you need to fully recover from your injuries.
All of our physiotherapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists and kinesiologists are available for direct billing, but only select RMT’s accept ICBC patients. If booking online, the option for ICBC initial and subsequent treatments will show for RMT’s that accept ICBC patients. If you are unsure, please call the clinic and we’d be happy to direct you to one of our ICBC RMT providers.
In order to serve you best and ensure that we have all the information needed to submit to your insurance and track it on your behalf, we ask that your ICBC appointments are booked by calling the clinic and speaking with one of our patient experience coordinators. You will be asked for your ICBC information (claim number, adjusters name and number and the date of your MVA.) Once your appointment is booked, you will receive an email with a link to fill out an online Intake form and a separate MVA form. The MVA form is sent as a separate emailed intake form, please be sure to let us know that you need this form emailed to you.
We ask that you fill out these forms as soon as possible so that your practitioner can read the forms prior to your arrival. This allows your practitioner to be prepared and offer a more comprehensive treatment on your first visit. Your first visit will be a combination of assessment, treatment, and home-care as the time allows. If you have a difficult case, treatment may start on your second appointment. The initial assessment following an MVA is essential in providing you with top quality care and development of your wellness program.
